Broken Dreams

i woke up this morning
and realized
the people i thought cared
abandoned and left me for dead
i was alone

i don't know
i am so tired
so tired of trying to see
what was never there
trying to believe
what turns out to be lies
in the end

i pray for
the happiness
but all i receive is
the misery
i just wish..
i wish that
someone understood
the complex mind
of the broken Dream
